1970

In the Sommer of 1970 and Fall of 1971 in San Francisco, I visited many commercial art galleries during the daytime (i.e. Continental Art Gallery where the sculpter Beniamino Bufano was represented, Gilbert Gallery with Robert Rauschenberg, among others) and slept nights behind the desk in the showroom of Franks Gallery on Sutter Street (Leonard Roy Frank) in which G. Mark Mulleian was the principle Artist. Most of these drawings and paintings were done on that desk during the crazy days of hippies and Haight-Ashbury after closing time. It was an awe-inspiring time.
